You are So Much More Than Your Highlight Reel
I know we just met, but I don’t believe you’re here on accident so I’m gonna share a personal story with you.
I spent a lot of years not really knowing who I was. Being the child of bitterly-divorced parents made me into a chameleon of sorts. I showed up in each situation as the person I thought others wanted me to be. It kept me out of the line of fire with my parents and gave me a sense of belonging with my peers.
The funny thing about being a chameleon for so long is that you bend and change so much that eventually you realize you don’t really know who you are. That’s not a very settling realization.
In 2012, at the ripe age of 32 all of this came to a head. I was feeling so restless. I couldn’t put my finger on why, but everything felt off. I felt unsatisfied and unfulfilled, even though I was “successful” by society’s standards. I had a husband, house, baby girl, car, friends, and enough money to take a trip occasionally or buy myself or my daughter something fun.
None of that felt like enough. I desperately wanted more for myself than being a stay-at-home mama and part-time RN. I knew there had to be more to life than just getting through the days, but that’s all I was doing at the time.
I didn’t know anyone who was living a life they felt passionately about. My friends and family all seemed content with the status quo – but that kind of living was making me miserable.
I didn’t know how at the time, but I knew I had to find a way to change my life. To be the kind of person who shatters the status quo and creates a life that feels amazing to live.
I dove headfirst into the world of personal development and haven’t looked up since. I’ve grown exponentially since then and there is no end in sight.
I read, studied and consumed everything I could about personal growth and then I hired a coach to push me even further. I look back now and I can hardly recognize the girl I was when this journey began.
Just to be clear, my path wasn’t all sunshine and roses – it was complicated by both personal and professional challenges. I’ve been through a divorce, a new marriage, moved away from everyone I know to live near the beach, changed careers, started a business, and navigated medical issues both personally and with family members all while trying my absolute hardest to be the best mama I can to my little lady.
I’ve learned so much about myself, about how I see the world and the person I want to be in the world. I know I’m here at this particular time in history for a reason, and I believe you are too.
My reason is simple.
I’m here to inspire, motivate and encourage women like you to evolve into the woman you’re meant to be.
My background in nursing, teaching, coaching and personal development provides a great foundation for helping women explore their health, habits, mindset, growth and impact in the world.
I’m never happier than when I’m deep in conversation about these topics, writing blog posts or sharing my story with women in a small group setting.
I’m so glad you’re here! I would love to learn more about you and the ways I can support you ❤︎ Send me an email and tell me about YOU!
